I found jstest-gtk
when I try to launch it I get

The .desktop icon in /usr/share/applications/ is called jstest-gtk.desktop
I've tried;
jstest-gtk.desktop + ENTER
jstest-gtk + ENTER
./jstest-gtk + ENTER...

The 'Joystick' utility' does not boot correctly when I click on the application icon, it appears very briefly in the task bar then disappears.
I have remouved it and reinstalled it several times but...

I assumed that deleting and reinstalling the application would do everything that's necessary concerning all needed libraries. What can I do and how?

the joystick app is broken.
The icon is visible in the applications window but said window just shuts when I click on the Joystick app icon, the app does not start.
reinstalled twice, apt updated...
